Corporate alcohol sales

Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre is delighted to offer corporate drinks for that special occasion. Bulk buying prices reduce the costs considerably and when buying in bulk we offer a free of charge Christmas wrapping service. Tullamore Dew 70cl & Irish Mist Liqueur 70cl are the normal purchases for client gifts, however, hampers, hip flasks, Candles & Crocks are all proving popular also. Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre welcomes 100,000th visitor.

The Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre, located on the site of the original whiskey distillery in Tullamore, Co Offaly, received its 100,000th paying visitor in September - making it one of Ireland’s most successful attractions.

By sheer serendipity, the celebrated visitor, Stefan Anklam, was from Germany - Tullamore Dew’s most successful export market. Opened in 2000, the Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre is unlike most companies’ visitors centres, being a joint venture between brand owner C&C International, Tullamore Town Council and Fáilte Ireland.

In addition to showing the history of Tullamore Dew, first distilled in 1829, and Irish Mist liqueur which was launched there in 1947, the Centre is a living museum of the town’s industrial past.

The past has now come full circle. Over 175 years ago, much of the town’s wealth came from the distillery and the Grand Canal that runs immediately alongside it - connecting Tullamore with Dublin and beyond. Today, the Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre on the banks of the canal is again attracting worldwide interest and revenue to the area.

For Herr Anklam from Berlin, however, his detour to Tullamore gave him more than just his favourite whiskey. Drinks, lunch, a gift bag and a commemoratively labelled bottle of Tullamore Dew were complemented by a free guided tour of the Heritage Centre - in German of course.

Fleadh Ceoil 2008

Following on from the huge success of 2007, Tullamore is once again proud to host Fleadh Ceoil na hEireann in 2008. This hugely acclaimed traditional Irish music festival showcases many of Ireland’s finest musicians while also providing tuition for budding artists. Furthermore, the 7-day festival attracts some fine international talent many of whom proudly play street sessions for the many thousands of visitors. Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre currently has several rooms available for hire and are ideal for practise & recitals.

The Canal Bank Bar & Restaurant

The Canal Bank, located in Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre, is a traditional Irish restaurant & bar with an extensive wine collection. Ger and his team serve breakfast and lunch daily with a quality bar menu until 8.30pm. A traditional Irish menu is available every Friday and Saturday night with authentic Irish recipes and a full Sunday lunch and kiddies’ menu is available until 6pm. Bookings for Valentine’s Day, Birthday Parties, Staff Parties and Special Occasions are welcome.

Polish Guided Tours now available

Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre offers visitors guided tours in English, French and German. Now we are proud to offer guided tours in Polish! Booking is essential for all Guided Tours. Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre also offers Self-Guided Tours. At present our self-guided brochures are available in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Swedish.

Conference Room Hire

Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre has 2 event rooms available for hire. To date, our conference rooms have hosted art exhibitions, workshops and meetings to name but a few.
